Recently, the first domestic large-scale high-efficiency compact wet natural gas cooler (PCHE) developed by Hangzhou Shenshi Energy Conservation Technology Co., Ltd. and CNOOC Gas & Power Group Co., Ltd. was officially delivered after passing the inspection and certification of CCS Classification Society. (China) CEPA platform of a gas field of East China Sea West Lake Oil and Gas Operation Company. It marks the official mass production of Hangzhou Shenshi’s large-scale printed plate heat exchangers in the offshore field.

The large-scale printed plate heat exchanger used in this project was jointly carried out by the joint project team established by Hangzhou Shenshi Energy Conservation and CNOOC Gas & Power Group in the aspects of structural optimization design, material selection, diffusion welding process and product inspection of PCHE. And innovation, achieved a number of pioneering key technical achievements, including wet natural gas condensation flow heat transfer optimization design simulation technology and ultra-large full-size micro-deformed stainless steel plate diffusion welding welding process. The high efficiency and compactness of PCHE heat exchange technology and the characteristics of extreme working conditions will promote the localization of key components of LNG/oil and gas platforms, and greatly reduce the independent supply and maintenance costs of key equipment.

The performance and quality of this large-scale wet gas cooler have been unanimously recognized by leaders and experts of CNOOC. At the same time, the successful development of the domestic PCHE is also of great value for promoting the localization of the core components of the FSRU, FLNG and FGSS systems. The successful delivery of this set of industrial-grade large-scale wet natural gas coolers marks that my country has achieved complete autonomy and control in the technical field of high-efficiency heat exchangers for offshore oil and gas platforms.
